The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) program is a inclusive 3-year undergraduate program (6 semesters) offered by Karnatak University Dharwad and Affiliated to AICTE, provides students with essential skills and knowledge in areas such as cost accounting, taxation, international trade, and financial services, preparing them for professional careers in the corporate world.
Students of Oxford College of Commerce College have grown tremendously since in every field by securing ranks to University, acquiring the title of University Blue, winning ‘General Championship’ in various fests and have successfully organized management fests, events, rallies and social welfare activities.

We are looking for such positive experiences which will help to create the analytical, conceptual and interpersonal intelligence needed to manage you and lead others in a dynamic and global environment. The curriculum covers, Cost Accounting & Taxation, Understanding tax laws, tax planning, and compliance to navigate both national and international tax systems. The International Trade will assist in preparing students to handle global business operations, including trade regulations and financial services and also Financial Executive Services which equips students with skills in financial management, reporting, and decision-making.
The B.Com course focuses on developing a professional outlook, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for careers in accounting, finance, banking, and business management. It also lays a strong foundation for further studies in related fields, enabling students to thrive in the dynamic corporate landscape.
Objective of Oxford College of Commerce:
- Demonstrate a broad knowledge and understanding of selected fields of study in the core programme, with an in-depth interpretation in these fields.
- Engage confidently in self-directed study and research and have a continuing commitment to learning.
- Be independent in their learning and respond in a critically informed manner to new ideas, research findings, methodologies and theoretical frameworks in their specialized field of study.
- Apply critical and analytical skills and methods to the identification, evaluation and resolution of complex problems and to do so from the standpoint of specialized knowledge developed in at least one specific commerce disciplines.
- Contribute to issues of concern to society within the framework of disciplines studied both within and outside the core program.
- Demonstrate an ability to communicate ideas effectively in both written and oral formats.
